2 Months Old!

Yay! I am two months!!

I can't believe my little man is two months old. Where is the time going? Ethan had his two month checkup today. We were lucky enough that Bailyn was able to come with us. At Ethan's appt today, he weighed 12lbs 14oz. His height was 23 3/4 inches long and head was 15 3/4 inches. Once again all the nurses and his doctor raved about him. They all loved his hair. He did have to have some shots but he did very well. Here are a few pictures from this past month.

Weekend Getaway!

To celebrate the 4th of July, we decided to get away. It was my first trip away since we moved to Arizona. With Bailyn having 4 days off, we decided to go to the Grand Canyon. First it was nice to have Bailyn off for a few days. He rarely gets days off so it was very nice. This was our first getaway just the three of us. It still sounds weird to say. We dropped Ava off at Petsmart and off we went. Thank goodness Ethan is a good car rider. It was a several hour drive from where we live. We made it to the Grand Canyon. It was very crowded and hot so we didn't stay too long.

One Month & Happy Father's Day!

Well, first I want to wish Bailyn a happy first Father's Day. You are such an amazing father. I love you so much. Second, Happy Father's Day to my dad. I am so happy to have such a great dad!!
As of June 18, Ethan is one month old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! People are telling me it will go even faster. Ethan is doing very well. The doctor's say he is perfect. They love when he visits. Yesterday, we picked up Bailyn's mom from the airport. He slept the whole way to and from and into the evening. I was a little worried he wouldn't sleep during the night but he did.

Ethan's First Week

I can't believe Ethan has been here one whole week! It just seems like yesterday he was born. Ethan was released from the hospital on Friday and doing much better. No doctor or nurse could really tell us what was the problem. One nurse just said he wanted more attention. But I am happy to have him home. Bailyn goes back to work tomorrow. I will miss him dearly since he has been so helpful this past week. Thankfully, my mom is still here. She keeps asking me when should she leave. I keep telling her in 17 years!!! I don't think my dad would like that. Here are a few pictures from the first week...

Introducing Ethan Anderson

Sunday was a very long day. I will not go into all the details. But the induction process started on Sunday, May 17th at 8 a.m. Ethan didn't arrive until Monday, May 18th at 12:54 a.m. But he was worth every second sometimes even pain second. He weighed 7.5 lbs and was 20 inches long. The nurses have fallen in love with him They love his hair. They say they have never seen a baby with so much hair and it be so blond. He looks a lot like Bailyn. But at least he has my lips.

Ethan has had a few set backs. Right now, he is at a children's hospital. He wasn't eating at all. If he did eat even the smallest amount, he would throw it up. So doctor's decided the best treatment was to move him. Doctor's have ran tests and everything is coming back normal. He has began eating a little and keeping it down. Today, nurses will increase the amount of formula to see if he can keep that down. We are crossing our fingers he can. He is the love of our lives. We are truely blessed.

Scheduled Induction

Well, this little guy is being very stubborn. I really can't say much, today is my actual due date but I was secretly hoping he would be here by now. So now, we've scheduled an induction. His birthday will be May 17th. I am still crossing my fingers he will be here between now and Sunday, but it doesn't look like it.

Here is my official last picture of me at 40 weeks. I am very happy that I've made it this far. I look pretty tired don't I?

Two More Weeks

I thought I would post pictures this week of me at 38 weeks and then way back at 8 weeks pregnant. I can't believe how fast time has gone by.

8 weeks..................................................... 38 weeks

I can't believe we will be meeting this little guy in a few short weeks (give or take). We picked up my mom from the airport on Saturday. It is really nice to have her here. She'll be staying until after the baby is born. With Bailyn working long hours, it's nice to have someone here incase anything should happen.

Happy Birthday Bailyn!!

Sunday, was Bailyn's 31st birthday. I think he had a good birthday weekend. On Saturday, we drove to Chandler. One of our favorite shows to watch is Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives on the Food Network. The host stopped at one restaurant in Chandler called Joe's Farm Grill. So we went there. It was really good. A long line, but worth the wait.
My parents and I went in together and bought Bailyn a video camera. I know it will come in handy real soon! When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted; his request was red velvet cake. Poor guy...he had to make his own cake. But it turned out very well!

Here is me at 36 weeks. Four weeks to go!!! I hope!

Think it is hot here in Arizona? I took this picture on April 21st and it is almost 100 in the shade? It is going to be a long hot summer!

Nursery Is Set!

Over the weekend, Bailyn and I worked on the nursery. Ok, Bailyn did a lot more than I did but I did help. I think it looks really nice. The room is small. As of right now, the glider doesn't even fit. But we may like having the glider in the living room until we move again. Here are some pictures of the room. We are going with an airplane theme. Big surprise. I tired not to do too much airplane but there were a few things that I couldn't pass up. I hope that this litttle guy doesn't grow up to hate airplanes since his daddy is a pilot! The furniture is from Young America. We are so happy with it.
Here is Ava posing with the furniture. Hope she is excited about becoming a big sister. If you notice the white patches on the wall; that is where the wall letters belong. I had to take them down for pictures purposes only. We are not sharing the name with family and friends until the big day arrives.

Baseball & More

The thing I really like about living in a large city is the fact that there is so much to do. Right behind our house is a large stadium where the Kanas City Royals and the Texas Rangers have their spring training. Ten minutes down the road the Padres have their spring training. So on Friday, Bailyn and I went to see the Texas Rangers play the Brewers. It was a lot of fun. I must say I don't know too much about baseball anymore. I used to know all the Atlanta Braves players but not anymore. But two former Braves now play for the Rangers. So it was kind of like being back home.

Bailyn is almost done with Mustache March. I was counting down until March 31st where I would meet him with a can of shaving cream and a razor. However, he has informed me that he has to keep it until Friday. I will try to get a picture of him with his mustache and post it.

I've had two pregnancy comments this week. The most I've had ever. The first random person said I was all belly. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. The second person said I looked like I could go any minute. Well, I have seven weeks left so I will let him stay where he is for now. I think we finished buying most of the baby items this weekend. We've started setting up the nursery. It looks really good if I do say so myself. The room is small and I think we are going to have a hard time fitting the glider in the room. So it may be left out until we move again.

Luke AFB Air Show and 32 Weeks

Well, I am 32 weeks this week. Eight more weeks and counting! I had a doctor's appointment on Friday. Everything is looking good. Heartbeat was good, my blood pressure was fine. My mom is flying in soon...well six weeks from now. It will be nice for her to be here.

Over the weekend, we went to the Luke Air Show. Luckily for me the base had a family day on Friday. We got to see the Thunderbirds practice and see all the planes flying in. Good thing I went on Friday afternoon because Saturday & Sunday it was too hot for me to go. The temperature was in the 90s and on the flight line it was in the 100s. Poor Bailyn, he had to work both Saturday and Sunday. He was so tired when he got home. He flies solo tomorrow for the first time in the F-16. He is excited and nervous at the same time.

30 weeks!

So I have made it to 30 weeks! I can't believe how fast time is going by! Last weekend, Bailyn and I took a Labor & Birth class. The couple in front of us were from Georgia. It was really nice talking to them about all stuff Georgia. This weekend we are are taking Babies 101 class. Since I have never really been near a baby, I figured it was a good class to take.

Bailyn started flying this week. He's learning to fly the F-16. So far so good. He's really enjoying it. But he still has a ways to go.

The picture is of me at 30 weeks!

3D ultrasounds

Yesterday, Bailyn took me to get a 3D ultrasound. It was so much fun! I am already in love with this little guy. The tech confirmed he is still a boy! Good thing because we had just finished some shopping and bought all blue. We can already tell he has Bailyn's nose, cheeks, and mouth. Basically, Bailyn is going to have a clone. She said she can already tell he has a full head of hair. I couldn't tell but I guess she knows what she's looking at. We also got to see him open his eyes and mouth. He's a cutie...at least to us anyway. Here are a few pictures from yesterday.
